After decades of service to those surrounding Modesto's Roseburg Square shopping center, the Housh family will most likely be closing their doors at Roseburg Mail Center this month.  We understand how this event will affect their current customers in finding a new location to serve their needs with mailbox and shipping services.  We at Bear Postal have been working closely with the owners of the Roseburg Square location to make this transition as smooth as possible and we can also assure every one of their customers that we are well equipped to serve their needs going forward at either one of our locations.

Sources tell Bear Postal that the historic "I" Street downtown Modesto post office will close at some point within the first quarter of 2010.  Having ceased most of their operations already and only serving as a collection point for the last decade, the next step appears to be a complete closure as a cost-cutting measure by USPS management.  Bear Postal's locations, including our downtown "K" Street store, are fully-authorized USPS postage and mailing centers.  We do everything the post office does and more!

The Postal Service has marked 677 post offices nationwide (including the "main" branch on "I" Street and the Paradise location) for possible closure or consolidation, according this listing provided to Congressional staffers by the U.S. Postal Service. For more on this story, click here.
