USPS 1st Class Mail rates have increased as of January 1,
2012, as well as the other USPS services (Priority Mail, Express
Mail, etc.) In addition, UPS, FedEx and DHL made pricing
adjustments to cover increased expenses going into this year, but
only at an average of 5%, much like they did last year.

Well, now that the Post Office on "I" Street is closed forever, we
at Bear Postal are more than happy to fill that need and to
provide all those USPS services and MORE! Remember, you
can do anything here at Bear Postal that you can do at the Post
Office, plus we offer all of the services from the other major
shipping carriers -- DHL, FedEx and UPS!

Both DHL and FedEx have informed us at Bear Postal that there
has been an increase in fraudulent emails claiming to come
from DHL, FedEx or other shipping providers. The messages
appear to come from a random '@dhl.com' or '@fedex.com'
email addresses and have a vague subject referencing parcel
tracking, invoice or item numbers. The attachment is typically a
zip file with 'FEDEXInvoice' in the file name and may contain a
computer virus. If you receive a message matching this
description do not open the attachment. Delete the email
immediately.

The rumors are true, as we have now received an official
statement from the local USPS Postmaster that they will be
closing the historic "I" Street Post Office location as of the end of
April this year. We understand that their Post Office Box
customers have been told that their mail will now be delivered to
the USPS location on Kearney Avenue, nearly 3 miles outside of
Downtown Modesto.
We at Bear Postal would like to take this opportunity to remind
our downtown neighbors that we are here to serve them at our
"K" Street location with friendly and convenient mailbox and
USPS products, in addition to offering our full line of DHL,
FedEx and UPS services. Please stop by or call us for more
information about how to keep your mail downtown!
